Study on Jesus for Elementary Age Students

I enjoyed spending the past 4 weeks studying Jesus’ ministry with my elementary aged kids at church. We have been doing an entire unit which we call “Route 66” as we navigate our way through the entire Bible. I will hopefully put a whole unit together to share with you but for now I will just say that we have been doing about a book (sometimes 2) a week. Since most of my kids have grown up in the church and know the core bible stories, it has been really fun to piece them all together! We recently took a detour while in the books of the gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). Instead of doing a book a week, we took an aspect of Jesus’ ministry and focused on it each week. The kids got the chance to work on looking up verses and have discussions about the passages they read. I love the graphic organizers I made in order to get a well rounded scope of Jesus’ time spent on Earth. The big bubbles allow the kids to draw a picture to depict the passage they read or give kids with bigger handwriting the space they need to write down the words from the word bank. I’ve included the link to check them out on my teachers pay teachers page here!
