No-Bake Flag Cake

It’s a long tradition in my family to make this simple flag cake each 4th of July! My Grandmom was known for her baking skills (cheese danish at Christmas time will never taste the same). Yet, when the 4th of July rolled around she would take the easy street. I’m not sure which magazine she found the ‘recipe’ in but it stuck around for many, many years to come and is a tradition I hope my boys will continue with their kids. The (super simple, no bake) steps are listed below!

Ingredients:

1 box of Entenmann's All Butter Loaf Cake

1 carton of Cool Whip

Handful of washed blueberries

Handful of cut and washed strawberries

Step 1:

Cut the loaf cake into 10 even slices and place them in a 13x9 dish. Devour extras before kids have time to argue over them.

Step 2:

Dish out the Cool Whip and spread it around. I know, keep up, this is difficult stuff.

Step 3:

Add blueberries and strawberries. Feel free to argue over whether the flag should be historically accurate or not. I choose to make it aesthetically pleasing.

This is life in my lane, I hope it helps you navigate yours!
