Festive for the Forth
Feeling Festive? I personally love just about anything with a good theme- like Stars and Stripes and Red, White, and Blue! Here are two hosting suggestions that might be right for you!
I love a delicious charcuterie board! These are easy to throw together and always a delicious hit!
My grocery list:
Dries pineapple
Blueberries
Strawberries
Cherries
Marshmallows
Toll House Pita chips
Toll House flatbread crackers
Ritz Toasted Whole Wheat crackers
Blueberry goat cheese
Mozzarella Cheese (cut into stars)
Prosciutto and Mozzarella wheels
* white chocolate pretzels and raspberries would be a delicious addition
I looked up a ton of different recipes and what types of drinks worked best- but honestly, it comes down to the amount of sugar. The drink with the most sugar goes to the bottom, the one with less stays at the top, IF you pour at the speed of a sloth. (This was not my forte and necessary to the layered look) You put the ice in first and pour at a tilt like a legit bartender adding the sugariest drink first … and if the odds are in your favor, your drink will look like the picture. It took me a few attempts to achieve the final product- but it’s a delicious, cold drink that the kids will love!
The drinks I attempted to use: grenadine, piña colada mix, blue kool aid, Gatorade, Powerade, fruit punch.
What is pictured:
(Red) Fruit Punch (White) Gatorade (Blue) Sugar-free Powerade and the Rocket Pop to garnish!
This is life in my lane, I hope it helps you navigate yours!
