Pokemon Party!
Gotta catch the fun!
Another birthday bash in the books! Nathan turned six and was excited to have a Pokemon themed party. As a mom who knew zip about pokemon before boys - I pride myself with the ability to name roughly 10 pokemon. We had a lot of fun planning this party and hopefully some of our ideas will enhance your own pokemon party!
The decorations and snacks :
Squirtle Spit was the hit: blue gatorade, who would have thought? Put a cute name on it and all the kids go crazy! We also had Pikachu Punch which was pineapple juice with cut strawberries infused. I got the cute straws off of Amazon and after a last minute panic session, I thought to ask a local restaurant to buy some to go cups which worked perfectly (the straws were heavy and would knock any drink over - lids were clutch). All other snacks were just types of food I thought my kids would enjoy with fun alliteration snack titles.

Games and Activities:
First we had a pokemon training corse to earn a “pokemon egg”. The kids had to race to the end and get a baking soda dried egg with a small pokemon hidden inside. Once they all got their eggs and completed their ‘training’ we used baking soda to hatch the egg to reveal their pokemon or you can just buy these bathbombs and pour water over them (instead of having to make the messy eggs like I did). Then we gave the kids time to make a habitat for their new pokemon with these circular containers. We played pokemon bingo game while some of the kids spent more time on their craft than others. These Pokemon Pop-its would be a huge hit as game prizes. To conclude the night, we enjoyed a campfire with ‘charmander flames!’ These were so cool and I highly recommend them for any fun campfire night!
